INDUSTRIAL MODELS

TERM:

Five years as of the application filing day, renewable twice for the same term. The renewal applications shall be filed within nine to three months previous to their expiration.

NOVELTY:

They should not have been published or exploited within the country or abroad.

APPLICANT:

It should be applied by the author or his legal successor.

NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION:

• Notarial Power of attorney issued by the applicant duly authorized by the Argentine Consulate or provided with the Apostille according to the La Haya Convention.
• Specification in Spanish or translated into Spanish.
• Designs in four copies, with 287 mm x 210 mm size.
• In the event of claiming priority, certified copy of the basic foreign application.

EXAMINATION:

Only as regards the form.

FEES:

They are paid at the moment of filing the application.

LEGISLATION:

Decree-Law 6.673/63 (Law 16.487) dated August 8, 1963.

CONVENTIONS:

Paris Convention (Lisboa Rev., sect. 1-12 and Stockholm, sects. 13-30).

La Haya Convention of the year 1961 which leaves without effect the consular authorization of documents coming from abroad.
